Western swinger / yodeling extraordinaire, Laura Lee McBride started singing at the age of ten with her sister in her father's band during the 1930s. Early on she played on various radio shows and live performances with her father, eventually had her own band, before joining Bob Wills' Texas Playboys in the early 40s. She acted in many movies with cowboy western star, Gene Autry and went on to play with Hank Williams, and also Ernest Tubb.
