What can I say about Candi Staton? A fantastic singer! One of my favorite soul singers (male or female) of all time. From her early 50s gospel 45s w/her sister, to her late 70s disco -I really like it all.
ReplyDeleteOne can't go wrong w/any and all of her 45s (both sides) and Lps. She had a huge advantage esp. early on having 'FAME' records producer Rick Hall arrange/produce most of her best material. But really a voice blessed with soul.
